    EEO-1 filing deadline September 30

Employers with 100-plus employees subject to reporting

Each year by September 30, private employers with 100 or more employees and certain federal contractors must provide the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) with employee demographic information.

The EEO-1 report can be completed online or by using a paper form upon request.

Survey information is used by the EEOC to help enforce compliance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits unfair treatment of employees because of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability or genetic information.

Additionally, employers with 15 or more employees are generally subject to other EEOC recordkeeping and posting requirements. To learn more about EEOC requirements and exemptions, visit their website.
