    UHC updates Prescription Drug List for 2017

    UnitedHealthcare will update its prescription drug list (PDL) for small group plans 2-99, effective July 1, 2017.

    Changes will affect Tier 3 and Tier 4 prescription plans including medications with new benefit coverage, medications moving to a higher tier, and medications excluded from benefit coverage.

    Tier 3 changes
    Medications with new benefit coverage

    The following medications were previously not covered under most benefit plans and are now eligible for coverage.

    Medications moving to a higher tier

    Medications may move from a lower tier to a higher tier when they are more costly and have available lower-cost options.
