There are several advantages to tax-free benefit accounts such as health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs) or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). These accounts provide participants more direct involvement in their health care, but involvement doesn’t have to mean time consuming. There are three ways to simplify flex account claims management.
1. Use an electronic claims manager
Our eClaims Manager simplifies claim reimbursement by connecting and pulling information directly from the insurance carrier. This allows us to automatically match claims data to account card swipes, minimizing the need for members to submit documentation. We also store claims data that could not be matched to a card swipe, making it easy for members to select eligible claims and get reimbursed.
2. Encourage employees to handle accounts directly from their cell phone
Convenience is a necessity today, and submitting claims from your mobile device is as convenient as it gets. Employees can simply take a picture of the receipt to submit their claim through our benefits administration mobile app. It’s easy and accessible anywhere.
3. Notify administrators of recurring payments or standard copays
Provide your plan administrator with a list of your plan’s copays. This will ensure these items are automatically approved at the point of sale when the account card is swiped. Also be sure to identify any recurring expenses with the same provider and dollar amount; this will greatly minimize the requests you receive for supporting documentation.
