Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) and North Kansas City Health (NKC Health) reached an agreement ensuring that NKC Health’s hospital and clinics remain in-network for Blue KC members.
As the June 1 negotiation deadline approached, the two organizations engaged in extensive discussions to finalize the agreement. In mid-May NKC Health had publicly stated that Blue KC insurance would not be accepted if an agreement was not reached by the deadline.
Recent announcements confirm that Blue KC members will not experience any disruption of care at NKC Health facilities.
