Starting January 1, 2024, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) will implement updated prescription drug lists for small groups.
The 2024 Blue KC Premium list applies to all non-ACA groups, including Level Funded (5-99) and Fully Insured (51-99) groups. Changes to the list may occur as new products are released or more information on existing therapies emerges, and prior authorization processes may be applied as deemed necessary. Medications on this list are evaluated by Blue KC’s Medical and Pharmacy Management Committee comprised of doctors and pharmacists within the KC area, and are assessed based on safety, effectiveness, cost, and more.
ACA groups located in Missouri should use the 2024 Missouri ACA group list.
ACA groups located in Kansas should refer to the 2024 Kansas ACA group list.
