Employers will have until March 4, 2019, to distribute Forms 1095 to employees. The original January 31 deadline has been extended for the third consecutive year.
This relief was issued in IRS Notice 2018-94. Filing deadlines with the IRS have not been changed as noted below.
As in prior years, employees can file their personal tax returns without submitting a copy of the relevant Form 1095. Taxpayers are advised to keep a copy of the forms with other tax-related documents.
