Missouri voters approved Proposition B during the 2018 midterm elections, which will raise the state’s minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2023. Under the new law, Missouri’s minimum wage rate jumped to $8.60 an hour on January 1, 2019, and will increase 85 cents per year through 2023. Missouri is one of 20 states that has approved minimum wage increases for 2019 and beyond.

Employers subject to Missouri wage law must post an updated summary of the laws and regulations as of January 1. The posting should be placed in a conspicuous place within the workplace accessible by employees.

The Kansas minimum wage continues to mirror the federal rate, which remains at $7.25 an hour for 2019.
