Response to Allstate data request due April 30

Allstate recently emailed plan sponsors requesting data needed to comply with the Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC) reporting requirement. To comply with the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), passed in December 2021, insurance companies and employer-based plans must submit information regarding prescription and health care spending to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by June 1 of each year.

Data can be submitted using Allstate’s survey link. Plan sponsors must complete nine data fields:

• preparer’s name and email,
• group name,
• group contact information,
• group number,
• group employer identification number (EIN),
• Form 5500 file status,
• percent of employer contribution to cost of medical coverage for 2024, and
• total premium paid by COBRA enrollees for 2024.
