Bukaty Companies and GM Peters, a P&C agency located in Kansas City, Missouri, completed a new partnership June 1. GM Peters, established in 1915, provides risk management and property and casualty insurance services in the Kansas City area. Their staff of 24 consists of 6 sales consultants and 18 support staff. The newly combined P&C organization will rank among the top ten Kansas City P&C agencies going forward.
Shane Davolt has owned and managed GM Peters since 1999. Shane will work on transition efforts alongside Dan Bukaty, who has led Bukaty Companies P&C division for that past 18 years. Later this year, Dan will retire from an executive role and move into a production role.
“Joining forces with Bukaty Companies is a win-win for our teams and our clients,” said Davolt. “Our combined block of P&C business will help us gain access to new markets, and we’ll be able to expand our client services and geographic reach.”
The GM Peters transaction followed nearly a year after Bukaty’s acquisition of Kaw Valley Insurance near Topeka, Kansas. Mike Bukaty, president and CEO of Bukaty Companies, foresees more growth opportunities ahead. “We’re looking for strategic partners who want to strengthen their market position, and in turn, expand their client services and capabilities,” said Bukaty.
