    DOL releases new Marketplace notice

A condition of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) means employers required to provide new hires with an up-to-date copy of the Marketplace notice explaining coverage options and subsidy eligibility. Recently, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued a updated Marketplace notice that won't expire until June 2020. The notice should be provided within 14 days of hire.

The DOL has stated on its website that no fines will be assessed under the law for failing to provide the notice, however, even without the threat of penalty, Bukaty Companies believes providing the notice in new hire packets is a good practice.
