The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has released two additional questions to its COVID-19 frequently asked questions. The answers clarify when employers must report work-related COVID-19 inpatient hospitalizations and fatalities.
The FAQs state
- An in-patient hospitalization due to a work-related COVID-19 exposure must be reported within 24 hours of determination.
- A fatality that occurs within 30 days of work-related COVID-19 exposure must be reported within eight hours of determination.
