Changes to affect Aetna Value Plus and Advanced Control-Aetna members
Effective April 1, 2020, Aetna will utilize an updated Value Plus formulary and Advanced Control-Aetna formulary. The Aetna Standard formulary for self-insured members remains unchanged.
Aetna reviews and changes drug lists quarterly.
Members and plan enrollees who are impacted by a change in their medication will be notified by mail or email in the upcoming weeks. Aetna recommends thoroughly reviewing the changes and consulting with your health care provider about how the adjustments will affect your care. If needed, medical exceptions can be requested by the prescriber or the member can call the toll-free number on their Member ID card.
