Effective July 1, 2020, Aetna will change the formulary drug list for its Value Plus and Advanced Control-Aetna pharmacy plans. The Aetna Standard formulary for self-insured members remains unchanged. Aetna reviews and changes drug lists quarterly.
Members and plan enrollees who are impacted by the change will be notified by mail or email in the upcoming weeks. Aetna recommends thoroughly reviewing the changes and consulting with your health care provider about how the adjustments will affect your care. If needed, medical exceptions can be requested by the prescriber or the member can call the toll-free number on their Member ID card.
