Aetna notified Bukaty Companies this past week that it expects the contract renewal with St. Luke’s and Barnes-Jewish Health Systems to be finalized in coming days.
In mid-October Aetna members were notified by Aetna that St. Luke’s providers may not be in-network effective January 1, 2026, if contract negotiations weren’t resolved by the December deadline.
From all indications, there will be no member disruption and contracts will be completed. However, at the present time the Aetna provider directory on its website has not been updated. Members seeking services at St. Luke’s or Barnes-Jeiwsh facilities after the start of the year may want to confirm contract status before finalizing appointments.
