Four months following Humana’s announcement that the carrier is exiting the employer group commercial medical business, Humana and UnitedHealthcare (UHC) announced an agreement that will enable Humana’s group customers to select a UHC plan upon the current plan’s expiration or non-renewal. Groups will be subject to underwriting.
Shortly after the February announcement, Bukaty Companies reached out to all major carriers to work on a group renewal strategy affecting Humana clients proposed. All major carriers came forward with renewal options.
